Humans (Homo sapiens) are the only surviving members of the subtribe Hominina and are highly intelligent primates that have become the dominant species on Earth. Together with chimpanzees, gorillas, and orangutans, they are part of the family Hominidae. A terrestrial animal, humans are characterized by their erect posture and heavy tool use, as well as complex language compared to other animals. They live in highly advanced and technologically developed societies.

In the 21st century possibly after the 2010s, there are 195 nations on Earth with the United States of America being the most dominant unipolar power on Earth after winning WW2 in 1945AD and the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991 which ended the Cold War for advance technology, strongest military force, extremely big economy (despite having trillions of dept) and a quite stable federal presidential constitutional republic under the leadership of the President of the United States (POTUS). More accurately, preeminence in every domain of power - economic, military, diplomatic, ideological, technological, and cultural – with the reach and capabilities to promote its interests in virtually every part of planet Earth.

In Amphibia, the only known humans are Anne, Sasha and Marcy who were Americans of 2019 AD transported via the Calamity Box.

Being new to Wartwood, the amphibians feared Anne due to her being a strange and intelligent mammal species that they had never encountered before. Grime was also highly suspicious of Sasha initially due to similar reasons and questioned her background. However, the rest of the Valley has not yet been explored in the series and it is likely that there are amphibians who have encountered or have knowledge of humans. One such being Valeriana who owned a stall in the Bizarre Bazaar selling artifacts and relics she had acquired from her years of travel throughout Amphibia. When Anne asked Valeriana if she had seen anything like her, she replied "Not exactly" which indicates that she might have known a human but of different features, like race, skin color, height, hair color, etc.

In the series, all the Humans have five fingers on each hand while the Amphibians have four fingers on each hand.
